Susan Boyle, What Now?
Like many others in the world, I love Susan Boyle. I was hooked the minute I saw her first video singing, “I Dreamed A Dream.” For us baby boomers she is a breath of fresh air and hope for our fading dreams. While we may not be singers, there are places we wanted to see, people to meet and many other things yet undone. The greatest thing about her is that she does have a gift of song. I love it that she did not have to be a great beauty on the outside to get the message across. Her grit is so natural of the Scots and she will hang on to what she has gained. Her star has just begun to rise, it is obvious now that she has had her first “stress test.” Actually she did well I thought! You know that because those “untamed hairs” of hers’ is still on her head.” Unlike others in show business who temperarily lost their grip. One could say that many great artist periodically suffer the same problems Susan had after the BGT show. Simon Cowell knows a great sound when he hears it and she has built a wide fan base out here already. We will hear a lot more from Susan Boyle, and I think her resurface will be astounding. Once she accepts that entertainment press, always report the actions of the famous in a way that sells the best. After all, they must sell their information in a way that attracts buyers. They will always tell a story their way and that might not be quite the real truth. It goes with the territory even if it is hard on the star they target. I believe all the judges on the talent show developed a true fondness for Susan, one that will afford her an extra hand up from all three of them. As far as the controversy over her second place win, it does not matter. American Idol is proof that the title win does not guarantee great stardom. We have seen it repeatedly, Jennifer Hudson certainly can attest to that fact!
